Angeline Sylla has announced that she is seeking re-election to the office of Trempealeau County Clerk of Court. She is the incumbent Clerk of Court and is experienced, hardworking, responsible and dedicated.
Some recent accomplishments in the Clerk of Court’s office include:
· Improved convenience-created the opportunity for individuals to pay Trempealeau County fees online with a credit card through the Wisconsin Circuit Court website and also to file certain paperwork electronically.
· Improved efficiency-implemented a system of document scanning to efficiently make information available to other agencies electronically and to reduce physical space needs.
· Improved access-added interpreters as needed for all types of communication barriers from language to hearing or reading issues.
· Improved financial management-incorporated an accounting system which allows improved access to State Court Grant Reimbursement Funds and tracking of the more than $1.2 million in fees collected by the Clerk of Court’s Office
The Clerk of Court’s office is responsible for all cases filed in Circuit Court. Circuit Court cases include civil and small claims, foreclosures, family, traffic, forfeitures, and criminal cases. The Clerk is also the acceptance agent for passport applications. A team of great employees works closely with Angeline to ensure that the Clerk of Court’s office operates efficiently, effectively, and with integrity regarding the protection of court records.

Angeline, an area native, lives in Independence with her husband, Daniel. They have a grown son who also resides in Independence with his wife and new baby. She is very involved in community, church, and professional groups such as the Rainbow Community Club and the Wisconsin Clerks of Circuit Court Association, for which Angeline served as the statewide association secretary. She has also participated in various work groups for development of programs within Trempealeau County. Angeline’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree from Winona State University, ongoing continuing education and professional development courses, as well as a diploma from Independence High School and Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic School.
